Steve co-founded and serves as President of The American Academy of Small Diameter Implants, which is dedicated to the advancement of dental implant technology through education and research. He co-founded and was Past President of the International Academy of Mini Dental Implants, which advances the art and science of dental implants. Steve consults with implant manufactures in the design, use, and marketing of their products. He designs, manufactures, and sells titanium components for implants.In 2000 Steve added to his extensive international experience as the President and co-founder of Gilead’s Hope, a 501(c)(3) non- profit corporation that funded the acquisition, renovation, equipping, and treatment care of a hospital in Phnom Phen, Cambodia. Over 30,000 people have received care including orthopedic, cardiac, and general surgery in this Christian ministry.
Recently named to The Texas Heart Institute Foundation Board, Steve assists the non-profit in fund raising, attaining government contracts, and in the design and manufacture of a bioreactor. THI leads the world in Stem Cell research, artificial heart, regenerative medicine, and heart assist devices.
Steve is a member and former regional director of the Defense Orientation Conference Association. Doca, formed by the US Department of Defense provides members continuing education on national security issues under the jurisdiction and supervision of the DOD. Members meet with political, government, military, business, and education leaders in countries worldwide and domestically. He served as Chairman and is on the board of the Greater Fort Worth Area Civic Leaders Association and as a past Director of Texas Lyceum. Steve received a B.S. in Biology from Baylor University and a D.D.S. from Baylor Dental School.
